Doesn't Mix Well

Something I wish I could take is weight loss pills. I know there is no magic pill, and it takes common sense, and less calories in-- but an added extra tool would be nice if it could be included in a weight loss effort. But, with the prescriptions I take -- Coudmadin and Metropol, I have to be really really careful with what I mix them with. When I read the side panels of any OTC pills, it pretty much red flags me that that particular product isn't for me. Its a vicious circle -- if I could lose weight, there would be a chance that my heart would get better, and the need for those particular prescriptions would decrease. But, in my present condition, I need to find a different way. And keep hoping the diet pill industry will come out with a product that doesn't have an adverse effect on heart patients!

Mental Block About Pill Taking

I need to remind David to call in our prescription refills tomorrow so they can be sent to us. We order them from out of town, and they ship them to us. I know its not as convenient, but we save alot of money doing it this way. One of his prescriptions you would swear they are horse supplements as big as they are. I don't see how David swallows them every day. I'm hoping I never have to take it. I don't take pills well -- I gag easily. Fortunately, all my medicines are on the small side and for the most part, I don't have any problems. Every once in awhile its not a good deal, but not often enough that it puts this mental block in my head not to take them. The pills I take are pretty important (Coumadin and Metropol), so I have got to keep it in my head that they will go down easily and to keep taking them!!

Copy Cat

I hate to admit it, but I am glad on Mondays that we do have extra help in the office at the trucking company. We were seriously behind in some areas, and she did a great job getting us caught up. But, quite honestly, I think I could keep most of it caught up now. I had a whole bunch of different jobs dumped on me several years ago, so I don't think I ever got to the "caught up" stage like where we are now. But now that we are there, I find myself with nothing to do 2 days of the week, and I only work part time as it is. I know I felt like I often left work holding the bag of many many tasks left to do. But, we aren't at that point any more. However, I do like the fact that I don't have to copy all the billing stuff like I had to before. I don't mind putting it in the computer, but I just really really did not like then having to copy each and every single little piece of paper involved in the billing. I know I can't pick and chose what I do for the company, but it would be nice to get a few of my old jobs back -- except for that copying thing. I don't miss it one little bit...

Finding The Right Upgrade

Something else we will looking to buy when we go shopping next weekend is a Vista program. Ethan wanted to clean his computer off and set it back to restore it ack to factory settings. But he couldn't find the orginal disk that it came with. But he found a program on the computer. I'm not sure what all he did, but where we are right now is, his dad ordered a new disk online to set it back to factor settings. And then after that, we will go to an electronic type store and get the Vista upgrade that we need. He will probably be looking at memory upgrades as well -- he is wanting to make hsi computer a "gammer" computer, putting nothing but games on it. I'm not sure I agree, but we just continue to monitor what he puts on there, and as long as the games are too graphic or violet or inappopriate, then I suppose we'll let him do it.

On My List

The next time we go to Topeka, I want to pick up a sd card for my camera. I actually have 2 cameras -- one that I carry in my purse all the time; and then a bigger one that is in a carrying case, but takes better pictures, plus has a 15 x times zoom. In other words, a much better camera. I only have one card between the two of them, and I'm getting tired of changing them out, depending on which one I'm using. I want to be able to grab and go, shoot and not have to worry about whether or not I have gotten the card put back in the camera I'm using. I know its not a necessity, but it sure would be alot less hassle just having another card on hand. . Ethan's birthday was this last week, and we didn't go out on his special day because we have all been sick around here. His next day off is next Friday, so we are shooting for that. If we make it, that new card is on my list.
